Fake False Lashes with Talcum Powder

Have you been through the process of getting eyelash extensions? I have and can I tell you I have better things to do with my time than sit in a chair for an hour while someone glues synthetic lashes to my eyelashes!

Fakies can wreak havoc on your natural lashes and can cause irritation.  I ended up pulling my ones out as they made my eyes so itchy and I was unable to properly remove my makeup at the end of the day. I have some friends that are die hard eyelash extension fanatics and get them done on the regular like they would visit their hairdresser, to these friends that can afford to do this – good on you. For me, however and I am sure I am not alone here, this procedure which can cost upward of $90 doesn’t fit in my very tight budget.

Looking for an alternative I have tried DIY eyelashes which look amazing but I am not keen on the idea of putting glue on my eyes everyday. I have tried ModelCo Lash Fibre ($35) which is great! I do recommend this product but again it’s a tad expensive to be buying on top of mascara every three months, which is the shelf life.

What I have discovered that works just the same, no glue, no synthetics, and takes no more than 20 seconds in the morning is talcum powder! Here is how I Fake False Lashes with Talcum Powder!

Please avoid direct eye contact, roll cotton bud in the powder and look downward to wiggle into lashes that have mascara on them.

Have you tried this? Will you try this? Would love to see some before and afters!
