This year for Halloween Houzz asked me to style a pumpkin. I’ve made in previous years the traditional carved-out face pumpkin but they’ve never looked all that good, and definitely not at all scary! As I only want to submit the best of the best to Houzz, I’ve opted for more of a classic decoupage style for my pumpkin makeover. I’m more comfortable here and added bonus, I don’t have to deal with the mess, cuts or terrible results that come with carving a pumpkin for hours on end. Not that there is anything wrong with the spooktacular scary face pumpkins, but that is seriously a hard thing to master!
This pumpkin can happily sit on my mantel well after Halloween is over, until… well, it starts to go bad.
