Each year I look forward to seeing the new standard of gift wrapping from my fave DIY bloggers. Pinterest and Instagram are flooded at the moment with clever creatives putting in a lot of effort to make sure the presents under the tree look like little works of art. Seriously, the wrapping is a gift in itself!
This is my round up for 2016 Christmas wrapping trends. I hope you get some inspiration and ideas for your gift style this year. Don’t forget to tag @havven on IG of your present wrapping skills, I love seeing them every year.
2016 Christmas Wrapping Trends All Wrapped Up
Mini Twig Trees
A hot glue gun and some found twigs is all you need to fashion some cute little tree’s to top off your simple presents.
Geo Washi Tape Pattern
Add washi tape to plain wrapping paper for a fun geo look.
Frosty the Wooden Snowman
Thread on three wooden beads and draw on some buttons and a face to make a sweet snow man.
Black & Evergreen
Black wrapping paper, twine and a sprig of green makes for a sophisticated look.
Cinnamon, Cinnemen, Cinnomon
This is beautiful. Flick some white paint onto brown paper, wrap it up with twine and include a cinnamon stick and a personalised wooden letter of the recipient.
Paint it gold
Everything looks better covered in gold spray paint!
Mini gingerbread houses! This free download could also be used to house smaller gifts and handmade treats.
Why not knit a chunky knit Santa sack to hold all your gifts!
That’s a wrap! What is your go-to wrapping style? I still use brown paper for everything. This year the helpful hubby has brought home rolls and rolls of the el’ cheapo wrapping paper from Aldi… any ideas on how to make this look good??
