Update Old Jars into Votives for a Rustic Wedding
I have a rustic event coming up with a next-to-nothing-budget. I really want the space hired to feel warm and welcoming and not spend a fortune on decorating, so I’ve had to get crafty with what I’ve had on hand. I had loads of jars left over from the Jar Lid Wall Buttons project, which got me thinking… I could jazz them up with burlap, rope and lace and make stunning rustic tea-light candle votives, even fill some with string lights.
Total Crafting Time 30 minutes
Skill Level Easy

Once you have all your supplies out and your glue gun heated up, get creative! There are no rules.
Watch the video at the end of this post for some inspiration on how I decorated these old jars into gorgeous rustic votives that I will keep and use long after the big day!
TIP: Light these by burning an uncooked piece of spaghetti
Such an easy tutorial to do for a really fast, effective ambient lighting. The hardest thing about this project was removing the labels off the jars. Anyone know of a good solution besides soaking in water and scraping off?
