One of the best things about the holiday season is making this amazingly easy homemade Baileys. It is far superior to the store-bought kind and you can make it as strong or as weak as you wish. Follow this incredibly easy DIY homemade Baileys recipe and impress all of your guests.
- 1 cup light cream
- 396 grams (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 2/3 cup whiskey (we use Canadian Club)
- 1 shot of espresso (some people use instant coffee but fresh is always better)
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg (optional)
Put all of the ingredients in a blender and whizz it up. AND YOU ARE DONE!
Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate, it will keep for 3 weeks. Shake well before using.
By storing in small decorative bottles (like the image above) makes for a wonderful and easy stocking stuffer for adults and also is great drink idea when you have guests over this festive season. Everyone will love your Homemade Baileys.
An idea for the hot Australian Christmas is to add ice for a frozen Baileys variation. Enjoy responsibly!
