This is my super easy method for the best clean eating recipe for hummus, my favourite go to healthy snack with carrot sticks. It’s also great for the lunch box and used as a spread in wraps.
The Best Clean Eating Recipe for Hummus
Makes 3 cups serves 12
- 1 can of chickpeas (drained and washed)
- 1.5 fresh medium lemons juiced
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- A splash of water
- 3 tbs tahini spread
- .5 tsp rock salt
Simply place all the ingredients into a food blender and blend until the desired smooth consistency is achieved. You can do it by hand with a little elbow grease and a fork I suppose if you don’t have a blender. Don’t be afraid to make it to suit your tastes, add more lemon if you want.
Store in the fridge and consume in three days, although mine never makes it to the used by date as it’s all gone after a day.
