All Natural Playdough Recipe
This is not a new recipe, I can’t even take credit for the original recipe, thank you KidSpot. This is the first time I have made it and was so impressed with how easy it really is to make that I had to share.
This is such an inexpensive way to entertain the kiddies, as they can help in every step of the making of it. Considering how much a small tub of the “real” stuff costs and the amount you get with the all natural recipe below which makes about 1kg ~ it really is a no brainer!
- 2 Cups Plain Flour
- 1 Cup Salt
- 1 Tbs Oil
- 1 Cup Cold Water
- 2 Drops Natural Food Colour
- Mix flour and salt in a large glass mixing bowl (plastic may stain)
- Add oil and water
- Knead till smooth
- Separate mixture into as many portions as you want different colours, I have made three little batches
- Create a well in the middle and drop in the food colouring and work in. I used two drops per colour and added more till I was happy with the colour.
If the mixture is too wet, add some more flour.
Store in a sealed container and it should last for 3 months. I’ve kept other homemade playdough for longer than this and it’s been fine.
